Obsession Director Curry Barker’s Next Film, Anything But Ghosts, Gets May 2027 Theatrical Release
Director Curry Barker’s horror-comedy film Anything But Ghosts is set for theatrical release on May 7, 2027. The film exists within the same universe as Barker’s previous work Obsession but follows an entirely different cast of characters, each encountering paranormal phenomena.
The ensemble cast includes Bryce Dallas Howard, Aaron Paul, Violet McGraw, Chris Reinache, and Cooper Tomlinson—the latter reprising his role as Ian from Obsession—alongside Barker himself. The film’s premise centers on two paranormal investigators who operate as fraudsters, finally confronting genuine supernatural entities during their work.
The project marks Barker’s continuation of the Obsession universe while shifting tone toward horror-comedy, suggesting an expansion of the original film’s narrative scope through new perspectives and characters.
