LEGO Dragon Ball Shenron & Goku Set Officially Announced

LEGO has officially unveiled its first-ever Dragon Ball collaborative set following an announcement just days prior. Titled LEGO Dragon Ball Shenron & Goku (Set #11390), the 1,764-piece set captures an iconic moment from the franchise, depicting the wish-granting dragon Shenron rising from the seven Dragon Balls. The set includes a minifigure of Kid Goku riding Kintoun, the magical flying cloud that serves as his primary means of transportation in the series.

Priced at $179.99, the set targets LEGO’s adult fan demographic and positions Dragon Ball as a major licensing property for the toy manufacturer. The release strategy employs a tiered rollout: the set becomes available to LEGO Insiders members on November 1, followed by a general public release on November 4. Consumers can sign up for a free LEGO Insiders account to access the earlier release date.

This announcement marks LEGO’s expansion into anime and manga licensing with a property that boasts decades of cultural resonance. Dragon Ball, which debuted in 1984, remains one of the most recognizable manga and anime franchises globally, with extensive multimedia presence spanning video games, films, and merchandise. The LEGO collaboration represents a significant milestone for both the Dragon Ball franchise and LEGO’s licensing portfolio, potentially opening doors to additional anime-themed LEGO sets.
