Geoffrey Rush Has an Idea for How Barbossa Can Return in Pirates of the Caribbean 6
Actor Geoffrey Rush has expressed interest in returning to Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean franchise for the upcoming sixth installment. Rush is one of only three actors to have appeared in all five films in the series, alongside Johnny Depp and Kevin McNally.
Rush’s character, Captain Hector Barbossa, met his demise in the 2016 finale Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. However, Rush suggests his character’s death need not be an obstacle to his return, indicating he has ideas for how Barbossa could make a comeback. According to Rush, he’s keen to return “if only to annoy Jack Sparrow one last time.”
While Disney has not yet officially confirmed which characters will appear in the sixth Pirates film, reports suggest several classic characters from the franchise may be brought back for the long-awaited sequel.
