Thanks Logitech, your new AI-fueled game clipping software makes me look trash at Counter-Strike, but I’mma keep it installed

Logitech has introduced Replay, a new software tool currently in beta that automatically records gameplay and uses deep learning algorithms to identify and compile highlight clips. The software aims to streamline the content creation process by analyzing gameplay and selecting the most impressive moments to splice into a finished video.

A reviewer from PC Gamer tested the software with Counter-Strike 2, playing through a deathmatch and casual game session. However, the initial results were underwhelming. The software’s selection algorithm generated clips featuring spawn kills, unimpressive weapon kills from warmup rounds, and footage of the player already dead in spectator mode—hardly the highlight-reel moments one would expect.

Despite the lackluster performance in early testing, the reviewer noted they plan to continue using the software, suggesting potential for improvement as the tool develops beyond its current beta status. The software represents Logitech’s effort to integrate AI-powered automation into gaming workflows, though the current implementation appears to need refinement in its clip-selection algorithms.
