PlayStation Plus Free Games For October 2026 Revealed
Sony has announced the October 2026 PlayStation Plus Essential lineup, featuring three games available from October 6 through November 2. The selection includes F1 25, the annual Formula 1 racing simulator by Codemasters that features all official teams and drivers from the 2025 F1 season. The game offers multiple play modes including Career, My Team 2.0, and the multiplayer F1 World mode. IGN previously awarded F1 25 an 8/10 rating, calling it “comfortably the strongest the series has been since the fan favourite F1 2020.”
The second title is Hunt: Showdown 1896, Crytek’s first-person extraction shooter that challenges players to hunt mythological monsters. Originally launched in early access in 2018, the game represents a mature entry in the extraction shooter genre with an emphasis on difficulty and strategic gameplay. Completing October’s lineup is Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, a multiplayer voxel shooter that rounds out the diverse offering.
Subscribers should note that September’s games must be claimed before October 6 to maintain access. The October titles will remain available for approximately one month, with the claiming period ending on November 2.
