Pokémon Pokopia Announces Halloween Event With Spooky New Items and Habitats
Pokémon Pokopia announced its first Halloween-themed event, “Pumpkaboo’s Sweet Surprises,” running from October 17 at 5am through November 1 at 4:59am based on local time. The limited-time event will be available on Nintendo Switch 2.
The event centers on Pumpkaboo, a dual-type Pokémon who serves as the star character. Players can begin the event by interacting with Pumpkaboo outside finished Town Centers. The Halloween celebration follows the structure of previous Pokopia events, introducing new content including spooky decorations and habitats.
A key feature of Pumpkaboo’s Sweet Surprises is a new currency mechanic: pumpkin candy. Players will need to collect this special candy to trade with Pumpkaboo for Halloween-themed items and exclusive content. This new currency system adds another layer of progression specific to the event.
The event continues Pokémon Pokopia’s pattern of seasonal and themed limited-time events, which have previously included celebrations like “Fetching Scales for Feebas” in August. These events are designed to offer players special activities outside their normal gameplay routines and reward them with unique furniture and items.
