This New Riftbound Card Is An Exciting Variant Of A Time-Traveling Legend

Riftbound, Riot Games’s digital trading card game based on the League of Legends franchise, is approaching a significant milestone with its one-year anniversary in Western markets scheduled for October 31, 2025. Since its launch, the game has successfully released four card sets, establishing itself as a competitive collectible card game in the digital market. Building momentum ahead of the one-year mark, Riftbound is preparing for the launch of its fifth set, Radiance, which releases on October 23. The Radiance set includes numerous exciting card additions and variants, with developers actively revealing new cards to build anticipation among the player community.

A standout feature of the Radiance set is the introduction of special “Overnumbered” variant cards, which provide alternative artwork and styling for existing legendary cards. One of the featured cards receiving the Overnumbered treatment is Ekko, Boy Who Shattered Time, a Legendary Ekko card. The new variant artwork showcases distinct visual design and artistry. These variant cards represent part of Riot Games’s ongoing strategy to maintain player engagement and provide aesthetic variety within the collectible card game, allowing players to customize their collections with different artistic interpretations of classic cards.
