007 First Light gets free new DLC today, adding New Game Plus and Photo modes, new TacSim missions and more

James Bond action game 007 First Light received a free Extended Operations DLC update on October 1, 2026, across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.

The update introduces several long-requested features, including New Game Plus mode unlocked after completing the campaign, a photo mode that was absent at launch, and a new challenging “00” difficulty setting. The centerpiece is the Valhalla Protocol, featuring Bond’s iconic Aston Martin Valhalla supercar in timed driving trials across four track variations set in Slovakia, where players can utilize the vehicle’s weapons and gadgets to complete objectives.

Five new TacSim missions have been added, with four centered around Valhalla challenges. The update also includes new weapons, outfits, and gameplay refinements. Developer IO Interactive enhanced weapon handling fidelity to provide greater precision in combat and movement, while adjusting enemy AI to allow adversaries to throw players off ledges—previously a player-exclusive action.

A free Starter Pack is available for new players. IO Interactive described the update as a thank you to the community that has supported the game since its 2026 release.
