Blizzard Isn’t Fixing Diablo 4 Season 15’s Biggest Bug
Blizzard has announced it will not fix Diablo 4 Season 15’s most significant bug, which involves the Hellfire Torch Unique charm. The Hellfire Torch is a new item that counts as an extra set charm and provides powerful bonuses including +All Skills, +All Stats, and +All Resistances. While players normally can equip only one Unique charm at a time, the Hellfire Torch bypasses this restriction, allowing it to be used alongside another Unique charm.
A critical bug compounds this issue: the Hellfire Torch’s bugged interaction permits players to equip two additional Unique charms beyond the Hellfire Torch itself, effectively tripling the power level intended by developers. This grants unbalanced statistical advantages far beyond what was designed for Season 15’s competitive landscape.
Despite the severity of this exploit, Blizzard confirmed the issue will persist throughout the entire season without a fix. This decision raises concerns about fairness and game balance, as players who discover and exploit the bug gain a substantial competitive advantage, while those unaware of the exploit or choosing not to use it face a disadvantage. The developer indicated the Hellfire Torch bug will likely be addressed in a future update or season, but for now, the unintended mechanics will remain active.
