There’s something even scarier than Huggy Wuggy in the Playtime toy factory this weekend
Escape from Playtime, a multiplayer prequel to the horror game Poppy Playtime, is now available in open beta on Steam through this weekend. Players return to the Playtime Co. factory, the nightmarish setting that featured Huggy Wuggy, the towering blue plush toy antagonist from the original game.
While Huggy Wuggy served as the primary threat in Poppy Playtime, the prequel introduces a new terrifying character: Miss Delight. According to PC Gamer’s early impressions, Miss Delight appears to rival or exceed Huggy Wuggy in scariness. The multiplayer format allows players to work together to survive encounters within the factory and attempt their escape.
The limited-time open beta offers players early access before the game’s full release. This beta period enables the developers to gather player feedback and test the multiplayer mechanics in a live environment.
