Fortnitemares Trailer Reveals Surprise Fortnite Hollow Knight Collab
Fortnite’s annual Fortnitemares Halloween event has officially launched on October 1, 2026, bringing with it a major roster of collaborative crossovers that have made this one of the most ambitious celebrations yet. Epic Games continues to flex its licensing muscles with a diverse array of horror and entertainment franchises joining the game throughout the month.
The event features a mix of previously announced collaborations and surprise reveals. Major franchises confirmed to arrive include Five Nights at Freddy’s, Nightmare on Elm Street, Beetlejuice, Obsession, and Predator. Additional surprises unveiled in the latest Fortnitemares trailer include Hollow Knight, which will arrive as a Sidekick—a character designation fitting for the indie platformer’s compact protagonist—alongside Hazbin Hotel and Slenderman.
Beyond character skins and crossovers, Fortnitemares 2026 introduces themed cosmetics, Halloween-exclusive quests, and limited-time items for players to earn or purchase. The v42.30 update that accompanied the event’s launch brought significant gameplay changes. Jimothy the Raccoon has also been added to the Sidekicks roster.
Fortnitemares has become a marquee seasonal event for Epic Games, drawing players with its combination of horror-themed content and high-profile partnerships. The 2026 edition appears to be no exception, offering something for fans of classic horror films, indie games, and contemporary animation series. With Halloween still weeks away, Epic Games has already begun rolling out the content calendar, indicating that additional collaborations and items may still be announced before the event concludes.
