ININ ‘Relaunches’ R-Type Dimensions 3 With A Free Digital Artbook
ININ has announced a significant relaunch of R-Type Dimensions III through the release of its third major patch. The update primarily focuses on refining boss fight mechanics in Advanced Mode, with substantial design changes and pattern adjustments made to better reflect and align with the original game’s gameplay experience.
As part of the relaunch initiative and as an apology for previous issues, ININ is now offering a digital artbook to all players across all platforms. This artbook was previously exclusive to the Ultimate Edition available on Steam, making its inclusion a gesture of goodwill to the broader player base and recognition of player concerns.
The patch represents ININ’s continued commitment to improving the game following its initial release, addressing feedback about boss difficulty and attack patterns. By aligning the Advanced Mode more closely with the classic R-Type experience, the publisher aims to restore player confidence in the title and provide what they hope will be the definitive version of this classic shooter remake.
