PS5’s Exciting New Zelda-Like Kena Game Just Got Delayed

Kena: Scars of Kosmora, the upcoming sequel to 2021’s Kena: Bridge of Spirits, has been officially delayed into 2027. The PS5 and PC action-adventure game, developed by Ember Lab and published by Sony, was originally scheduled for release in 2026.

In announcing the delay, Ember Lab stated that the additional time is necessary to “deliver a top-notch game that exceeds the quality” of the original Bridge of Spirits. The studio emphasized that “pushing our release into 2027 gives us the ability to really polish the expanded game experience we want to deliver.”

Like its predecessor, Scars of Kosmora will be a linear adventure game with Zelda-like elements. However, the sequel promises “a broader and deeper scope” than the 2021 original, suggesting expanded gameplay and world design. No specific release date within 2027 has been announced yet.

This delay reflects Ember Lab’s commitment to maintaining the critical and player acclaim that Bridge of Spirits received. Fans of the franchise will need to wait at least another year to experience Kena’s next adventure.
