Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Complete FAQ—Release Date & Times, Game Pass, Early Access & Platforms
Activision is releasing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, the latest annual installment in its flagship military first-person shooter franchise and the final entry in the Modern Warfare reboot saga.
The game officially launches on October 23, 2026. Due to time zone differences, North American players will gain early access at 9:00 PM PT on October 22, a day before the official release date. The game will roll out globally according to a region-specific release schedule.
A significant change for this year’s release involves Xbox Game Pass availability. Modern Warfare 4 will not be included in the subscription service on day one, marking a shift from how some recent Call of Duty releases were handled. However, Activision has confirmed that the game will eventually be added to Game Pass following its initial launch period, though the exact timing for this addition has not been announced.
