Pokémon TCG Reportedly Launching First-Ever Valentine’s Day Set in 2027
The Pokémon Trading Card Game is reportedly set to receive its first-ever dedicated Valentine’s Day collection on January 27, 2027, according to reports from Pokébeach. While not yet officially confirmed by The Pokémon Company, the leaks suggest the release will follow the format of the popular Trick or Trade Halloween series rather than functioning as a full expansion set like Delta Reign or Chaos Rising.
The Valentine’s Day set, tentatively called the “Pokémon TCG Valentine’s Box,” is expected to feature compact foil packs containing three cards each, accompanied by sticker sheets—mirroring the seasonal set structure that proved successful with Halloween releases. Following the precedent of previous seasonal collections, which featured limited-edition pumpkin-stamped Pikachu cards, the Valentine’s edition is likely to include similarly themed special cards or promotional items.
This represents an expansion of The Pokémon Company’s seasonal TCG strategy, which has grown beyond traditional expansion releases to include holiday-themed collections designed to appeal to collectors and players during specific times of year.
