Riot Releases ‘Headliners: The Music of League of Legends’ Book
Riot Games has partnered with publisher Insight Editions to release “Headliners: The Music of League of Legends,” a collector’s book documenting the franchise’s extensive musical history and virtual artist collaborations. Launching December 8, the book is available in two editions: a Trade Edition for $55 USD and a premium Portfolio Edition, both featuring behind-the-scenes content, original artwork, and artist interviews.
The release coincides with League of Legends’ 2026 Season, which centers on music as a core theme. The book explores the game’s iconic virtual music groups—including K/DA, HEARTSTEEL, and True Damage—celebrating their role in blending esports culture with mainstream music production. The 2026 Season includes new HEARTSTEEL music and skins alongside True Damage’s return for the upcoming League of Legends World Championship theme.
This publication exemplifies the gaming industry’s growing trend of expanding franchises through multimedia content beyond gameplay. Riot’s investment in music as a cultural pillar has made League of Legends a unique space where esports, gaming, and music converge, appealing to both players and music fans. The book serves as both historical documentation and a collector’s item for the passionate League of Legends community.
