Supercell, Rovio, Playdemic, First Touch, Sybo and more back SpecialEffect’s One Special Day

On Friday, October 2, multiple major mobile game publishers participated in ‘One Special Day,’ a charity fundraising initiative supporting SpecialEffect, an organization dedicated to helping physically disabled people play games. The participating studios included Supercell, Rovio, Sybo, Playdemic, Fingersoft, Supersolid, Hyper Luminal Games, New Star Games, Miniclip, Green Man Gaming, and MAG Interactive.

During the promotion, a percentage of UK player spending from a diverse range of popular titles was donated to the charity. The participating games included major hits such as Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars, Clash Royale, Angry Birds 2, Golf Clash, Subway Surfers, Dream League Soccer, and 8 Ball Pool, among others, with a complete list available through the One Special Day official site.

SpecialEffect provides comprehensive assessments and customized technology loans to enable disabled players to access gaming experiences. The organization uses insights gained from these interactions to inform hardware development, helping the broader gaming industry create more inclusive and accessible experiences for players with disabilities.
