The UK Best Places to Work Awards 2026 took place at the Royal Institution in London on October 1, celebrating gaming companies that demonstrate excellence in supporting their employees. The ceremony recognized 25 UK gaming companies across three award categories—small, mid-sized, and large—for their commitment to staff welfare and positive workplace environments. Six studios received special recognition awards: Dink, Hangar 13, Jagex: The RuneScape Company, NaturalMotion Games, Rare, and Snap Finger Click. The awards ceremony concluded the GamesIndustry.biz HR Summit, an industry gathering that drew 79 representatives from 41 organizations, including major AAA studios, independent developers, consultancy firms, training providers, and educational institutions. The event highlights the growing importance of workplace culture and employee satisfaction within the video games sector, recognizing studios that lead in creating supportive work environments and fostering positive staff relations.
