When Does WoW Forever Come Out? Release Date and Times, Explained
Blizzard unveiled World of Warcraft Forever at BlizzCon 2026 in Anaheim, announcing a reimagined version of the classic MMO that launched over 20 years ago. The game is scheduled to release on November 4, 2026.
Ahead of the full launch, players can access the game through multiple channels. Those attending BlizzCon can play it directly on the show floor. For remote players, a closed beta is available from September 17 through October 21, 2026. To secure beta access, players can either attend BlizzCon in person or pre-purchase eligible versions of the game.
WoW Forever represents a significant evolution and reimagination of the original World of Warcraft experience, designed to recapture the essence of the game’s early years around 2004. The announcement marks one of the major reveals at BlizzCon 2026, alongside announcements for Diablo 5 and a new StarCraft open-world shooter.
The beta phase provides players with an extended window to experience the game before its November launch, roughly six weeks of hands-on time for those who secure access through pre-purchase or in-person attendance.
