Arc Raiders Will Temporarily Go Free-to-Play Alongside Major Update
Arc Raiders is launching a free-to-play trial from October 8-12, coinciding with the release of its Frozen Trail major update. During the trial period, players will have full access to the game across Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. This gives new and returning players a chance to experience the latest content without cost.
Following the Frozen Trail update, the studio is also rolling out a PvE matchmaking beta test, which will provide players with a more relaxed gameplay experience. This addition responds to community requests for a less competitive alternative within the game’s ecosystem.
The free-to-play weekend runs from October 8 at 5 a.m. ET through October 12 at 4 a.m. ET. The convergence of a major update, new gameplay mode, and open access represents a significant effort to attract new players and retain existing ones during a busy month for the title.
