RuneScape Dragonwilds Roadmap Adds Modding and Hunter Skill
RuneScape: Dragonwilds has shared its development roadmap for the remainder of 2026 and throughout 2027, highlighted by major content updates and new features. The open-world survival RPG, which launched in September 2026 on all major consoles and PC, will receive the Luminance free update in December 2026.
Looking ahead to 2027, Jagex plans to release the two-part Blood Crystal Saga, which will introduce the Hunter skill as a new gameplay element. Beyond the saga, the roadmap includes several highly requested features: official modding support, secure servers, and competitive leaderboards. All of these additions will be rolled out as free updates.
The announcement was made at RuneFest 2026, the annual community event where Jagex shared comprehensive plans for Dragonwilds’ long-term development. The company’s commitment to free updates and community-driven features like modding suggests an emphasis on player engagement and retention for the expanding survival RPG.
