Arc Raiders is getting a free trial to celebrate its biggest update yet
Arc Raiders, Embark Studios’ extraction shooter, is offering a free trial from October 8-12 to celebrate the launch of Frozen Trail, its biggest update yet. The trial grants players complete access to the full game across Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox with no content restrictions, including immediate access to the new Pendola Pass map and other update features.
The unrestricted free trial represents a notable strategy in the competitive live-service landscape. Rather than offering a limited preview with locked features, Embark is providing complete game access during the trial period, allowing potential players to fully experience Arc Raiders before committing. This approach demonstrates developer confidence in the Frozen Trail update’s quality and appeal.
The free weekend offers Embark an opportunity to attract new players and showcase the extraction shooter following a substantial content update. The studio has spent considerable time detailing the Frozen Trail update’s features, positioning this trial as a key moment to demonstrate why players should invest time in Arc Raiders.
