Nolan North, the voice actor behind Nathan Drake in Naughty Dog’s Uncharted franchise, has expressed strong interest in reprising his iconic role should a new entry materialize. Speaking at Gamergy in Puerto Rico amid rumors of Uncharted 5 in development, North stated he would be “110%” willing to return to the franchise.
North expressed confidence that a new Uncharted game would be “one of the biggest games ever” if Naughty Dog chose to develop it, though he emphasized the decision ultimately depends on whether Sony sees financial viability in the project. He noted that he maintains his physical fitness with the hope of being available should the opportunity arise, saying he “can’t see a scenario where I would say no.”
North’s last appearance as Nathan Drake was in 2016’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Despite the years since his last performance as Drake, the actor has remained connected to the character. Importantly, North clarified that he has not received any official communication from Naughty Dog regarding a new Uncharted project, indicating his comments are speculative enthusiasm rather than confirmation of any development activity.
