The Battlefield movie project features acclaimed director Christopher McQuarrie, known for the Mission: Impossible franchise, in the roles of director, writer, and producer. Oscar-winning actor Michael B. Jordan is attached to star in the film while also serving as a producer on the project.
The bidding competition included Universal Pictures, Netflix, Amazon MGM Studios, and Warner Bros. Discovery (operating under Skydance), all vying for the rights.
