Escape from Tarkov Players Can Now Buy In-Game Cash with IRL Cash

Escape from Tarkov’s 1.2.0.0 update has arrived, bringing significant additions to the PvE platform including the long-anticipated Prestige system and the EXFIL Brothers Program. The latter pairs new players with experienced users to unlock exclusive rewards while helping newcomers navigate the game’s complex mechanics and learn from veterans.

Most notably, the update introduces a new monetization option allowing players to purchase in-game roubles using real money. The conversion rate stands at approximately $50 USD for 250 million roubles, enabling players who have depleted their in-game funds or want immediate capital to inject real-world money into their progression. This monetization feature is currently limited to the PvE platform exclusively.

The addition represents a significant shift in Escape from Tarkov’s approach to player progression and spending, offering an alternative for those seeking to bypass the grind of accumulating wealth through traditional gameplay. Combined with the mentor-focused EXFIL Brothers Program, the update positions the PvE platform as a distinct experience tailored to newer and convenience-focused players.
