Valor Mortis Comes to PS Plus and Game Pass, and You Can Try It for Free
One More Level Games, the studio behind Ghostrunner, is bringing its next game, Valor Mortis, to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on October 13. The first-person soulslike will launch simultaneously on Xbox Game Pass, offering immediate access to subscribers. PlayStation Plus subscribers will also be able to try the game for free through the service’s trial offering.
In Valor Mortis, players take on the role of William, a fallen soldier in Napoleon’s army who is mysteriously revived to find the world transformed by plague. The infection has corrupted his fellow soldiers into monstrous creatures while granting William extraordinary abilities. Gameplay focuses on combat against these infected foes while exploring to find Catalysts and Ambers—collectibles that unlock new skills and allow players to customize William’s stats according to their preferred playstyle.
The title represents One More Level’s follow-up to their acclaimed action-platformer Ghostrunner, and the studio’s entry into the soulslike genre. By launching simultaneously on Game Pass and offering a free PS Plus trial, the game aims to reach a broad audience across multiple platforms on its release day.
