Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 Dev Says It’s Got More Single-Player Content Than Any Other RTS Ever at Launch

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 is launching with an unprecedented volume of single-player content. Developer King Art Games claims the game will feature more campaign missions at launch than any other real-time strategy game in history, with four fully developed single-player campaigns spanning over 70 missions total.

Each campaign focuses on one of the game’s launch factions: Space Marines, Orks, Necrons, and Adeptus Mechanicus. This scale represents a dramatic leap compared to previous entries in the franchise. The original Dawn of War contained 11 missions, Dawn of War 2 featured 20-30 missions through its non-linear structure, and Dawn of War 3 included 17 missions. By comparison, the new title’s 70+ missions establish it as one of the most content-dense RTS campaigns ever released at launch.

The developer’s commitment to expansive single-player content stands out in a modern gaming landscape increasingly focused on live-service and multiplayer experiences. King Art Games appears to be leveraging the campaign’s depth and scope as a central selling point for the franchise, signaling confidence in the single-player experience as a core value proposition for players.
