Forza Horizon 6 has been delayed on PS5, a new report suggests, not long after developer Playground insisted it hadn’t

Forza Horizon 6’s PlayStation 5 release has been delayed to January 26, 2027, according to reliable leaker billbil-kun reporting through French gaming site Dealabs. This contradicts recent official statements from both Playground Games and Microsoft, who maintained the game remained on track for 2026.

The racing game initially launched on Xbox Series X|S and PC in May 2026 to strong critical acclaim. Reports from The Verge’s Tom Warren and IGN in late August suggested the PS5 version would be delayed to 2027, but Playground Games quickly denied these claims, opening wishlisting on the PlayStation Store and insisting the PS5 version remained scheduled for 2026.

Microsoft echoed this statement in September, posting that the PS5 edition would release in 2026. However, billbil-kun now reports the game is scheduled for January 26, 2027 on PS5, with both physical disc and digital editions planned.

The timing may help avoid a release window collision with Grand Theft Auto VI. While billbil-kun is considered a reliable source in gaming leaks, neither Microsoft nor Playground Games has officially confirmed the new release date.
