Is the Surface Laptop Ultra a gaming PC? Let me explain.
Microsoft’s new Surface Laptop Ultra, announced at the October 7 Surface event in San Francisco, features NVIDIA’s RTX Spark GPU and N1x chip with support for up to 128GB of unified memory. The 15-inch mini-LED laptop is primarily marketed toward professionals including creators, AI specialists, engineers, scientists, and developers who require powerful computing capabilities without being confined to a desktop workstation.
While positioned as a professional machine, NVIDIA demonstrated substantial gaming performance during closed product demonstrations, suggesting the device possesses significant gaming capabilities despite its professional focus. The laptop features a sleek design with multiple ports and represents an enhanced version of the Surface Laptop 8.
