Battlefield 6 and more are joining Xbox Game Pass in October
Microsoft has announced nine new games joining Xbox Game Pass throughout October 2026, with the most notable arrival being Battlefield 6, which deploys on October 13 across cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The timing of Battlefield 6’s launch is particularly significant as it arrives just days before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 joins the service, creating a notable competitive showdown for players on the subscription platform.
The October lineup represents a mix of established AAA titles and new independent releases. Alongside Battlefield 6, other early-month additions include Echo Weaver, Forever Ago, and Neon Abyss 2, all arriving October 8. These releases follow recent high-profile additions to the service, including Gears of War: E-Day and Minecraft Dungeons 2.
Also coming to Game Pass this month is Valor Mortis, described as a soulslike FPS, representing the type of experimental new IP appearing in the service’s lineup. Game availability varies by Game Pass tier—some titles are available on all versions (Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass), while others are limited to specific tiers or platforms. This diverse range of games reflects Xbox Game Pass’s strategy of offering both blockbuster releases and niche titles to its subscriber base.
