Forza Horizon 6 Is Finally Coming to PS5 in January Alongside First Expansion
Playground Games has officially confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will launch on PlayStation 5 on January 26, 2027, accompanied by the game’s first major expansion. The announcement comes after months of speculation about the port’s timeline, with the release date pushed back from the originally planned 2026 window.
The game originally debuted on Xbox and PC on May 1, 2026, to strong critical and commercial reception. The delayed PS5 release will allow Playground Games to launch the platform version alongside new expansion content, creating a simultaneous release window for both.
Pre-order information has been detailed across three available editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Premium. All pre-order tiers include a pre-tuned Ferrari J50 that players will receive after completing the prologue. The Premium Edition distinguishes itself by offering five days of early access, allowing players to begin playing on January 21, 2027, ahead of the official launch.
The announcement ends an extended period of uncertainty about the PS5 port’s status. While Playground Games initially denied reports of delays, the January 2027 confirmation reveals that the project did face setbacks from its original 2026 target. The simultaneous launch with the first expansion suggests the developer coordinated development to present a complete experience to PlayStation players.
