Marvel Announces New Spy TV Series Zodiac, Coming in 2028

Marvel Studios has announced a brand new live-action television series titled Zodiac, set to premiere on Disney+ in 2028. The spy thriller was officially revealed at New York Comic Con, following earlier reports from The Hollywood Reporter about the project.

According to Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ head of streaming, television, and animation, the series will be a spy thriller centered on a compelling narrative. Production is scheduled to begin in London during spring 2027, with casting currently underway.

While comprehensive details remain limited, the show will reportedly center on SHIELD, Marvel’s secretive government organization. In Marvel Comics lore, Zodiac encompasses various criminal organizations whose members are themed around Western zodiac signs, typically led by the character Taurus. These organizations often function as antagonists to both the Avengers and SHIELD.

The Zodiac announcement arrives amid broader shifts in Marvel’s television strategy, following the recently reported cancellation of Daredevil: Born Again after its third season concludes.
