Wizards of the Coast Confirms Reprints for Popular MTG Warhammer 40K Commander Decks

Wizards of the Coast has confirmed that its Magic: The Gathering Warhammer 40K Commander Decks will receive a fresh print run, marking a significant development for one of the trading card game’s most expensive secondary market products.

Originally released in 2022 as part of the Universes Beyond series, the four preconstructed decks were the first Magic precons to venture beyond the game’s traditional universe. While well-received at launch, the decks quickly became scarce and expensive. Originally priced at $59.99 each, unopened versions now command hundreds of dollars per deck on secondary markets like TCGPlayer, with complete four-deck bundles selling for around $1,000 on average in recent months.

The reprinted decks will be distributed to retailers and stores soon in what Wizards of the Coast describes as a “small reprint.” This move addresses long-standing demand from players seeking access to the decks’ unique cards, many of which have never been reprinted since the original 2022 release. The news comes after reports from game store owners began circulating about potential availability.

The reprint decision reflects broader efforts by Wizards of the Coast to address secondary market accessibility for popular products, though the limited nature of the print run suggests availability may remain constrained.
