I only bought Pokémon Legends: Z-A during Prime Day, and it’s still on sale
Pokémon Legends: Z-A is currently available on sale at Amazon for $39.88, down from the regular price of $59.99 for Nintendo Switch or $69.99 for Switch 2. The sale extended beyond Amazon’s Prime Day event, offering ongoing savings for players interested in the latest mainline Pokémon title.
The game distinguishes itself through a real-time battling system, departing from the traditional turn-based combat that has defined the franchise for decades. Set in Lumiose City, it presents a fresh setting and gameplay experience designed to appeal to both longtime fans and returning players who haven’t engaged with Pokémon since earlier entries like Let’s Go Eevee or Pokémon Moon.
For lapsed players, the real-time battle mechanics and unique setting offer compelling reasons to return to the franchise. The substantial discount from regular retail pricing makes it an accessible entry point for casual players and those curious about the series’ evolution.
With availability on both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, the game reaches players across different hardware generations. The simultaneous platform availability reflects Nintendo’s staggered hardware transition strategy while ensuring broader audience accessibility. The continued post-Prime Day sale suggests Amazon is leveraging Pokémon’s enduring commercial appeal, while Nintendo maintains sales momentum for this flagship title across its platform ecosystem.
