Ubisoft Shutting Down Rainbow Six Mobile After Less Than A Year
Ubisoft is shutting down Rainbow Six Mobile, its mobile spinoff of the tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege. The game will remain playable until January 15, 2027.
Rainbow Six Mobile had a soft launch in 2023 before its official full release in February 2026, meaning the game will have been available in its complete form for less than a year before shutdown. During its lifetime, the game went through 15 multiplayer-focused seasons.
In an official announcement, Ubisoft stated it made the “difficult decision” to sunset the game. The publisher expressed pride in the team’s work, saying the game was defined by community moments including memes, videos, strategies, tournaments, and impressive plays.
The development team will move on to pursue “other long-term strategic projects,” though Ubisoft did not specify what these projects entail. The next season of Rainbow Six Mobile will still be released as planned before the shutdown begins, ensuring players receive final content.
