The Boys Creator’s Next Project Promises to Be Pure Torture

Garth Ennis, creator of the acclaimed superhero series The Boys, is partnering with director Rob Jabbaz (The Sadness) to adapt the cult comic series Crossed into a feature film. The project is being produced by Los Angeles-based company Six Studios.

Crossed, known for its extreme and graphic content, has long been considered one of the most difficult comics to adapt due to its deeply depraved subject matter. The adaptation marks a rare instance of such controversial source material making it to the screen. A teaser trailer for the project was exclusively revealed by Bloody Disgusting and is now available on YouTube.

The film follows a group of strangers attempting to survive by heading north to escape an infected population group known as the Crossed. While the available excerpt doesn’t provide complete plot details, Crossed is recognized as one of the most shocking and violent narratives in comic book history. The collaboration between Ennis and Jabbaz suggests the film will maintain the source material’s intense tone and visceral content.

This project represents another venture for Ennis into dark, mature storytelling following his major success with The Boys, which has become one of Prime Video’s most acclaimed television series.
