A new community-created quest mod for Cyberpunk 2077 titled “Guitar Gigs Across Night City” allows players to tour Night City as a musician alongside Johnny Silverhand, the brain-dwelling AI companion voiced by Keanu Reeves. The mod expands on the limited musical performance opportunities available in the base game by enabling performances at various venues throughout the city.
Built upon animations and interactions from the existing in-game Samurai gig, the mod includes an optional feature allowing players to integrate custom songs from their personal music library. The mod humorously offers players the ability to intentionally play “all the wrong chords,” including riffs from Metallica’s “Master of Puppets,” despite their virtual fingers being positioned incorrectly on the instrument.
While Cyberpunk 2077 quest mods remain relatively uncommon compared to other modification types, this release targets players who felt the main story’s single musical performance opportunity was insufficient.
