It’s official: Forza Horizon 6 delayed to 2027 on PS5, and the game’s first expansion has been announced

Forza Horizon 6 has officially been delayed on PlayStation 5 to January 26, 2027, nearly eight months after its successful May 2026 launch on PC and Xbox. PlayStation players interested in early access can purchase the Premium Edition (£110) to begin playing on January 21, 2027—five days ahead of the standard console launch.

Alongside the PS5 debut, Playground Games will release the game’s first premium expansion across all platforms on January 21. The expansion is included with the Premium Edition, while a separate free update will also arrive that day for all players, though specific details about either update remain undisclosed.

The game maintains full cross-platform and cross-save functionality across PS5, Xbox, and Steam versions, enabling seamless progression across systems. Since its May release, Forza Horizon 6 has operated under a live-service model with regular weekly challenges and a steady rotation of new vehicles. This premium expansion represents the first major paid content addition to the racing title since launch.
