Ghost Of Tsushima Anime Taps Star Wars: Visions Talent For Its 2028 Release

The Ghost of Tsushima anime adaptation, a collaboration between PlayStation Productions, Aniplex, and Hayate Inc., has been delayed to 2028, according to a Crunchyroll announcement. The series was previously scheduled for 2027.

The production team announced additional cast and crew details. Voice actors Mayumi Saco and Shinya Fukumatsu have been confirmed for the project. Saco previously voiced Tomoe, the master archer and pupil of Sensei Ishikawa in the original game, while Fukumatsu is known for his voice work on One-Punch Man, where he played martial arts master Bomb. Director Takanobu Mizu, who worked on Star Wars: Visions, will helm the adaptation.

Crunchyroll will exclusively stream the anime upon release. While specific story details remain limited, the assembled creative team indicates an ambitious adaptation of the acclaimed PlayStation exclusive. The additional production time until 2028 allows the team to develop the series further.
