“Video Games” Singer Can’t Wait To Play New Video Game GTA 6
Rockstar Games has revealed details about GTA 6’s in-game radio stations, announcing that 11-time Grammy-nominated singer Lana Del Rey will co-host Back Country Radio alongside country artist Morgan Wallen. Del Rey voices a character named Delta Dawne, while Wallen plays MW in the station’s hosted content.
The casting carries particular significance given Del Rey’s early cultural connection to video games. Her 2012 song “Video Games” from the album Born to Die became an internet phenomenon and partly defined her early career, making her involvement in what is shaping up to be one of the biggest video game releases ever notably fitting.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Del Rey expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating: “On so many different levels this is super special and a privilege. Can’t wait to get into the game and start playing.”
The announcement also confirms that Del Rey’s husband, Jeremy Dufrene, will contribute voice work to the game. GTA 6’s in-game radio stations have historically been a major feature of Grand Theft Auto titles, known for curated music selections and hosted content that enhance player immersion in the game world.
