Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Officially Adds Another Critical Role Member to the Cast
Marisha Ray from Critical Role has been announced as part of the voice cast for Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, the third entry in Square Enix’s FF7 remake trilogy. Ray will voice Polydroid Shiva, a digitized version of the iconic ice summon that operates the Gold Saucer’s snowboarding mini-game rather than serving as a traditional combat summon.
Ray joins fellow Critical Role cast members Matt Mercer, who voices Vincent Valentine, and Travis Willingham, who takes over the role of Sephiroth from Tyler Hoechlin. The announcement was made during a panel at New York Comic Con, with Square Enix sharing a preview clip on Instagram showcasing Ray’s voice work.
The continued involvement of Critical Role talent underscores the franchise’s investment in prominent voice acting for the remake trilogy. The casting extends the pattern established by the previous installments, bringing recognizable performers to modernize the beloved 1997 original with expanded storytelling and gameplay features alongside returning favorites from the source material.
