How Path To Doomsday: Infinity War LTM Works In Marvel Rivals—All Infinity Stone Effects

Marvel Rivals has introduced a new limited-time game mode called “Path to Doomsday: Infinity War,” marking the next phase of seasonal content for NetEase’s superhero team-based shooter. The mode departs from the game’s previous Player vs. Environment (PvE) offerings, instead focusing entirely on competitive Player vs. Player (PvP) gameplay.

The Infinity War LTM supports 12 players divided into six teams of two, creating a unique 2v2 format where pairs compete against other duos in successive battles. The competition continues until only one team remains standing, providing an escalating experience throughout each match. A defining feature is the integration of Infinity Stones, which provide match-altering effects that introduce strategic depth and unpredictability to gameplay.

This shift represents a notable change in NetEase’s approach to Marvel Rivals’ limited-time content. By moving away from PvE cooperative gameplay and embracing a focused competitive format, the developer is experimenting with new game structures to maintain player engagement and provide varied experiences. The Infinity Stones thematically connect to Marvel lore while introducing mechanical variety that influences match dynamics.

The new LTM continues Marvel Rivals’ live-service content strategy, adding to its growing roster of seasonal events and limited-time modes. Players will have a limited window to participate in the mode before it rotates out of the game.
