Halo’s Master Chief and Noble Team invade Gears of War: E-Day via PC mods
Gears of War: E-Day is receiving early community modifications, with modder @WH40kWorkshop releasing “Incursion,” a character replacement mod that swaps the campaign’s main playable cast for iconic characters from other franchises. Less than a week after E-Day’s full release, the mod allows players to replace Marcus, Dom, Lucas, and Mags with Halo’s Master Chief and Noble Team from Halo: Reach, as well as Warhammer 40,000 Space Marines.
The mod creator is known for their previous work on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and has brought that modding expertise to Gears of War’s PC version. The “Incursion” mod is currently available for PC players only, offering character model replacements that let fans experience the Gears campaign through the lens of their favorite franchises.
This early modding activity demonstrates the PC gaming community’s rapid response to E-Day’s launch, with creators already building on The Coalition’s new installment. The appearance of both Halo and Warhammer content in the same mod showcases how cross-franchise modding can creatively blend beloved gaming properties, even if only visually through character replacements.
