LEC Academy Team Vitality.Bee Shut Down After Seven Years
Team Vitality has announced the shutdown of Vitality.Bee, its secondary League of Legends academy team that competed in the LFL (France’s EMEA Regional League) since the league’s inception in 2019. The decision comes after seven years of operation, during which the academy produced several notable players now competing at professional levels, including Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek, Josip “Jopa” Čančar, and current Vitality player Kaan “Naak” Okan.
While Vitality.Bee never won an LFL Playoffs title, it established itself as a consistent development pipeline through two French Cup victories and a run to an EMEA Masters final. Team Vitality co-founder Fabien “Neo” Devide announced the closure via video statement, describing the decision as made “with a heavy heart.” Notably, Neo suggested the shutdown may not be permanent, leaving open the possibility of the academy team’s eventual return as the organization reassesses its talent development strategy and resource allocation.
