Wardogs Season 2 Adds a New Gambling Mechanic That Lets You Bet on Yourself

Wardogs Season 2, launching October 15, introduces a new Wager Vendor gambling system that allows players to bet on their own in-game performance. Players can construct wagers based on specific performance metrics—such as achieving a certain number of kills in a match—and receive financial rewards if successful, though they lose money upon failure. The difficulty of the wager determines potential payouts.

The system operates within Wardogs’ existing cash-based economy, with players able to place new bets each time they respawn. Wagers can include additional conditions—restrictions that increase potential payouts but cause the wager to fail if broken. A live wager tracker remains visible above the minimap, allowing players to monitor their stakes and progress throughout matches.

Developer Bulkhead has described this as “the first pass of a very experimental early access feature” they plan to expand in future updates. Season 2 also introduces a new weather system adding rain to matches and provides additional money and XP bonuses for players on the blue team. The update coincides with a game-wide progress wipe on October 15.
