X25 XBOX Console 25th Anniversary Edition—How to Buy, Release Date, Price & X25 Controller
Microsoft announced the Xbox X25, a limited-edition console celebrating Xbox’s 25th anniversary. Revealed during Summer Game Fest week, the X25 features a retro design inspired by Xbox’s early years and formative history in gaming. While the console retains identical internal hardware to the standard Xbox Series X|S, its distinctive nostalgic aesthetic makes it a collectible piece for longtime franchise fans.
The X25 is scheduled to launch on November 27, 2026, positioning it to arrive just ahead of Grand Theft Auto 6’s release. As a limited-edition offering, availability is expected to be restricted, making it an exclusive product for enthusiasts and collectors. The hardware functions identically to existing Xbox Series X|S models—performance and game compatibility remain unchanged, with the X25 differentiating itself purely through its commemorative design.
The release timing reflects Microsoft’s efforts to celebrate Xbox’s cultural impact and 25-year history within the gaming industry. The retro-inspired design serves as both a functional gaming device and a nostalgic tribute to the console’s origins, appealing to veteran gamers who experienced Xbox’s launch era and newer players interested in gaming history.
