Konami is already thinking about the next wave of Silent Hill games
Konami is planning multiple future Silent Hill games following the successful launch of its initial revival wave. Producer Motoi Okamoto revealed in an interview with Famitsu that the company is already considering “second and third waves” of new Silent Hill titles, though specific details remain undisclosed.
The first wave, consisting of Silent Hill 2 Remake, Silent Hill f, and Silent Hill: Townfall, has been completed successfully and received critical acclaim with strong sales performance. Okamoto expressed relief and satisfaction with how the initial trilogy performed, noting that the series’ successful revival has allowed Konami to look beyond the initial three releases.
“Successfully launching this ‘first wave’ comes with great relief, but we’re not stopping here; we must think of the second and third waves,” Okamoto stated, adding that Konami is “currently looking at a number of projects” but cannot share specifics at this time.
This announcement marks a significant moment for the Silent Hill franchise, which spent approximately a decade dormant under Konami’s ownership before the recent revival. The franchise’s resurrection has proven to be a bright spot in the gaming industry, with all three initial entries receiving positive reviews and generating healthy sales.
