Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Returns For Its Final Season Early Next Year
At New York Comic Con’s Star Trek 60th anniversary panel, producers and cast members of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy announced that the show’s second season will serve as the final season, with a release window set for March 2027. The announcement was made by executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau, alongside members of the show’s main cast. During the panel presentation, attendees were shown an exclusive clip featuring one of the season’s new characters, though a full official trailer for the season has not yet been released publicly. The approximately one-year gap between the conclusion of Season 1 and the premiere of Season 2 marks the final chapter for the Star Trek spinoff series centered on Starfleet Academy. The announcement comes as Paramount continues to celebrate the broader Star Trek franchise’s milestone 60th anniversary, which was also highlighted during the Comic Con panel. The panel later featured additional Star Trek programming segments, including a conversation between actor Ben Stiller and William Shatner.
