PvP pinball is such a good idea I can’t believe I haven’t played it before

Bumper Bout, a new two-player competitive pinball game, made a strong impression at PAX Australia with its innovative approach to the classic pinball formula. The game presents direct player-versus-player competition, with both players controlling separate pinball tables simultaneously on a shared screen. Structurally similar to Puyo Puyo Tetris, Bumper Bout splits the display between opponents, each managing one half while attempting to outperform the other. A defining feature is the ability to flick balls across to an opponent’s table, adding interactive competitive elements beyond traditional single-player pinball mechanics. According to PC Gamer’s hands-on coverage, the game impressed both in concept and execution, demonstrating strong potential for the local multiplayer gaming market. The title currently offers a playable demo on Steam, allowing players to experience the competitive pinball mechanics firsthand.
