Steven Spielberg’s Polarizing Fantasy Film Gets Official New Release
Steven Spielberg is releasing one of his most divisive and ambitious family adventure films in a major new version this fall. The announcement comes as part of Spielberg’s broader legacy of seeing his classic films resurface through theatrical rereleases, streaming platforms, and enhanced home video editions. While films like Jaws, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Jurassic Park have achieved universal cultural status, not all of Spielberg’s work has received the same level of acclaim. The upcoming release gives audiences another opportunity to reassess one of the director’s stranger, more experimental entries in his five-decade filmography.
